Okay, maybe not. I wasn’t there at the Tribeca Film Festival where the two sat on a panel and Soderbergh announced he’d use BitTorrent to release his next movie. Maybe Wagner is in on it. After all, Wagner and partner Mark Cuban have been very good to Steven Soderbergh, using their 2929 Entertainment production company to release the director’s movies in many unconventional ways. Like, for instance, releasing Bubble in theaters and on DVD the same day. Developing.
Update: An informed-FrontBurnervian writes:
Soderbergh’s film referred to in the post is a short movie. In high-def. For McSweeney’s DVD mag.
But I’m going to insist that such information does not materially change my post. Besides, I worked hard on it and don’t want to delete it. So there.
