28th Annual GrapeFest Announces Pre-Festival Pairings in Grapevine

Stomp on grapes Lucy-style, shoot champagne corks as far as you can, and drink lots and lots of wine at this year's celebration.

On September 11, 12, 13 and 14 in Historic Downtown Grapevine, the 28th year of wine festivities will get underway in Grapevine. But this year, there will be a four-part series of Gourmet Food & Wine Pairings prior to GrapeFest itself. Here is the schedule and locations:

Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center, Meritage Room, 1800 State Hwy. 26 E., Thursday, September 4, 6:30 p.m., featuring state of Washington wines, $65;
Ferrari’s Italian Villa & Chop House, 1200 William D. Tate Ave., Monday, September 8, 6:30 p.m., featuring Italian wines, $85;
Chill Bar & Grill, 814 S. Main St., Tuesday, September 9, 6:30 p.m., featuring Messina Hof Winery (Bryan & Grapevine, TX), $55 and
Gaylord Texan Resort, Old Hickory, Bacchus Room, 1501 Gaylord Trail, Wednesday, September 10, 6:30 p.m., featuring wines from the state of Washington, Price TBD.

GrapeFest is hosting the People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic, the Champagne Terrace, GrapeStomp, the Washington and International Wine Experiences this year. The event opens on Thursday, September 11 at 10 am and admission is free all day Thursday and until 5 pm on Friday. Admission prices are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors (62+) and children (6-12). Weekend passes are available for $18 and souvenir weekend passes are $23. Admission is free for children five and under.
