More development is on the way at The Star in Frisco, as Jerry Jones Sr., Roger Staubach, and Robert Shaw team up to bring a 17-story luxury residential tower to the city. The development at The Star will be Frisco’s first high-rise building and will break ground next January. Columbus Realty Partners Ltd., Shaw’s company, will be the project’s developer.
“Residents will be able to benefit from the full Cowboys experience by living next to our world headquarters and interacting with our players, coaches and executives,” Jones, the Dallas Cowboys owner, said in a statement. “Everything that goes along with being at The Star—dining, shopping, fitness, sports, entertainment and medical services—are just steps away.”
The tower will consist of about 160 apartment units that will average 1,200 square feet in size, with plans for residents to begin moving in during the first quarter of 2019. The high-rise will be within walking distance of the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters.
“[Roger Staubach’s] tremendous success and experience in commercial real estate brings a world of credibility to this project, and fits what we are doing at The Star from a big-picture perspective perfectly,” said Jones. “We also know that Robert Shaw, another of our former players, has a unique background specifically with this type of project.”
The unique opportunity will give residents “special benefits and exclusive access to events.” The tower will have a boutique design consistent with the aesthetics of The Star and AT&T Stadium.
“Robert and I were Cowboys years ago, so it’s a great fit for us to be back on the team again and with the Jones family,” Staubach said in a statement. “This is a wonderful opportunity to bring a first-class residential property to The Star and Frisco and be a part of all that is being developed in that area. Collectively we are going to do it the right way and make it special.”
