RED Development has signed one more tenant to its mixed-use project in Uptown, The Union Dallas. Dallas-based Primoris Services Corp. will move its headquarters to the 22-story office building’s 19th floor in the first quarter of 2019. The move will come after The Union Dallas’ projected opening in July 2018.

With a total of 16 office locations across the country, Primoris, a 57-year-old construction and infrastructure company, signed a long-term lease for nearly 14,000 square feet for its new headquarters. The signing brings the project to more than 60 percent leased. The company elected to stay in Uptown, where it currently offices at the 2100 McKinney building.

“We are excited to move to The Union as our company continues to grow. We were attracted by the building’s location, access, and amenity packages in Uptown, all of which make it easier to attract and retain the best workforce,” David King, Primoris’ president and CEO, said in a statement.

RED Development is developing the 800,000-square-foot mixed-use Union facility to be complete with office, residential, and retail space. “Companies, both large and small, public and private, are finding their place at The Union,” Mike Ebert, managing partner at RED Development, said in a statement.

Joe Gallini worked on behalf of Primoris in the transaction, and RED Development was represented by John Brownlee and Sarah Hinkley of Peloton Commercial Real Estate. The Union Dallas broke ground last April and RED Development won D CEO’s 2017 Best Retail Deal Award for signing Tom Thumb to a 60,000-square-foot lease.
