If you stay at the Avanti Hotel, borrow the old-school hipster bikes for free! On Monday after the festival, we road bikes all around downtown to explore the shops and restaurants.

Take a day or half day sailing/snorkeling trip to St. John. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

Art lovers should take a day trip out to see Monet's garden. It's a quick hour by train, then either rent a bicycle or take a taxi to the garden. Bring a picnic lunch or hit up one of the multiple cafes.

We rode all along the countryside then stopped at a local family's house, where they took us on a traditional basket boat and fished for purple crab. Then we rode to Tra Que Vegetable Village and got to plant vegetables, and they made the most incredible food fresh from their garden.

Santorini, Greece, and Amalfi Coast of Italy
In Santorini, you must do a sunset sail. We used the company Barca sailing and were treated to a five-hour sail to the main points of interest along the coastline, as well as the hot springs, served a Greek feast on board, and witnessed the most beautiful sunset.
