INCONCEIVABLE STILL AN UNTHINKABLY BAD IDEA

|

I haven’t seen the pilot yet, but the TV critic at the Kansas City Star has. The review for Angie Harmon’s latest vehicle ain’t good:

“Inconceivable” (9 p.m. Fridays, NBC). “Ally McBeal” in a fertility clinic but with fewer Emmy prospects. “ER”‘s Ming-Na is so not cut out for comedy, but she’s on one anyway, simulating witty repartee with her fellow sperm doc Jonathan Cake. Last-minute cast addition Angie Harmon shows up toward the end of hour one and instantly elevates the soap-quality dialogue. But unless the writers plan for her to be in every scene, I can’t conceive why anyone would want to watch. Forecast: Canceled.

I still love you, Angie.
