As many of you know, the World Series of Poker is underway in Vegas. Total number of entrants this year was 5,619. Each paid $10,000 for a seat (or won one through various means). First place pays nearly $7 million, if memory serves. When they quit for the day yesterday, around 4 a.m. this morning, there were only 185 players left. One of those players is John “The Big Randy” Brown, a fellow from our home game. He also happens to be the only Dallas player remaining (though I understand a guy from McKinney still has chips).
