The Real Estate Council attracted another packed house at its annual Fight Night extravaganza. More than 1,200 attended the sold-out event, including Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, football great and JLL exec Roger Staubach, and about a dozen current Cowboys players.

Held at the Hilton Anatole, Fight Night XXVI raised $1 million for TREC’s foundation, said Trey Morsbach, senior managing director at HFF and chairman of this year’s event. “Fight Night has established itself as the marquee event for commercial real estate in Dallas,” he said. “And in a lot of ways, it’s the premier fundraising event for the city of Dallas.”

At the event, St. Philip’s president Dr. Terry Flowers accepted a $70,000 check from TREC. The funds are being used to help redevelop a building that will be used as a food pantry, in partnership with other community entities.
