For the next three weeks, NorthPark is hosting pieces from the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center “Be Bold. Be Bright. Be Brave” sold-out art show and fundraiser.  The art exhibition highlights 20 out of the 75 regional and national artists who contributed art to the organization’s annual Art For Advocacy event, which is scheduled for September 25.

Eight of the featured artists are local to Dallas. William Atkinson, Megan Brooks, Camilla Cowan, Pamela Nelson, Allison V. Smith, Keer Tanchuk, Mary Vernon, and Reinhard Ziegler donated works to the NorthPark exhibition; it is on display until September 22.

Located on the mall’s first level, the exhibition raises awareness about child abuse, the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center main area of service. The organization provides clinical and supportive services for survivors of abuse and their families. Recognized nationally and internationally for their survivor-centered work, DCAC is the only agency in Dallas County dedicated to the end of child abuse.

“We are so grateful to NorthPark Center for hosting the preview exhibit and we hope that these pieces of art inspire visitors to take action and join with DCAC to end child abuse,” the nonprofit said in a statement. “We are thrilled to give the public a sneak peek at a handful of the unique works that will be available during the auction.” The featured artwork will be auctioned at the sold out annual fundraiser. For those without a ticket, individuals can support the organization’s work at www.dcac.org.
