Jyric Sims heads Medical City Fort Worth.

The Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council has selected Medical City Fort Worth CEO Jyric Sims the 2018 Young Healthcare Executive of the Year.

The award goes to a leader at a DFWHC-member hospital who is 40 years old or under, and who displays promise as a leader of the future.

Sims has been CEO of 320-bed Medical City Fort Worth for about a year. He spent time in executive roles at HCA Healthcare hospitals (HCA is Medical City Healthcare’s parent company) in Florida and Louisiana before moving to DFW. He’ll be honored in October at DFWHC’s annual awards luncheon at the Arlington Convention Center.

“I am honored and humbled to be recognized by the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council,” Sims said in a statement. “This tremendous honor is illustrative of the wonderful team that we have at Medical City Fort Worth, mentors that have guided me personally and professionally, and reflects our mission to the care and improvement of human life.”
