Medical City Plano on Tuesday opened The Bariatric & Metabolic Institute, which will offer surgical weight loss treatment and related services.
The doors open just a week or so after Medical City Healthcare’s Frisco campus received a national accreditation related to metabolic and bariatric treatment.
At 513-bed Medical City Plano, physicians will offer adjustable gastric band surgery, sleeve gastrectomy, laparoscopic surgery, and band to sleeve revisions.
“We know that bariatric surgery is a major life decision that typically follows a long and difficult weight loss journey, which is why we’re excited for the launch of our new program,” said Charles Gressle, CEO at Medical City Plano, in a statement.
