Last week, I posted about one lone fitness event, assuming that it would be the only workout class infused with the spirit of Halloween this year. Readers, I was wrong. I was embarrassingly wrong.
It turns out, there are several opportunities to elevate your heart rate in the costume of your choice, and I’ve done my best to collect them all for you so you can plan your week’s workouts (and ensembles) accordingly.
SoulCycle
The West Village studio will be hosting “Soul Activate: Halloween Bash” with Kevin Cummings at 7:00 am, so you can indulge carefree for the rest of the day.
Rise Nation
There are several holiday-centric climbs at the Knox District studio this week, including “Ghosts N’ Stuff” and a Halloween-themed “Throwback Thursday.” In other positive news, Rise Nation recently announced lower class prices.
City Surf Fitness
There’s no themed class per se, but if you wear a costume at the Uptown or Plano studio this week, you’ll enter win to (according to their Instagram stories) a “killer prize.”
Lync Cycling
Compete for Best Costume at the Snider Plaza studio for a chance to win a $50 gift card.
Class Studios
The Uptown studio (which looks like it may be adding an entirely new sculpting option to its schedule) will host four themed spin classes this Thursday: “Drake-ula,” “Halloween Remixed,” “Hip Hop Halloween,” and a costume ride led by Ella Leupold and Paige Martindell.
Vital Fitness Studio
The Joule’s subterranean studio is taking things to the hotel’s terrace for a Haunted HIIT Class starting at 7pm. Costumes encouraged.
