D Magazine Partners is pleased to welcome Ernie Cote as publisher of D CEO and all titles in its business media group. He’ll oversee advertising and marketing operations for the magazine and its news site, as well as online verticals D CEO Healthcare and D CEO Real Estate, plus the Dallas 500, D Real Estate Annual, and other ancillary publications.

Cote comes to D Magazine Partners after serving as CEO of Dallas-based ChemicalInfo, a trade publishing company and provider of online databases for chemical and pharmaceutical companies. He oversaw the sale of ChemicalInfo to IQVIA Holdings Inc. in August 2018.

Prior to this, Cote was president of Dallas-based digital agency Vertical Nerve, which helped companies grow their online revenue through search marketing and digital analytics conversion. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Copper Mobile, CalcuQuote, and SmartLight Analytics.

“I have been fortunate to work with executives in Dallas through business opportunities and nonprofit boards,” Cote said. “We have such a vibrant, diverse group of leaders in Dallas. There are no shortage of great stories to be told. I’m very excited for the opportunity to be part of the team telling those stories through D CEO.”

In his new role, Cote also will oversee DRC Publications, a division that produces business magazines in partnership with the Dallas Regional Chamber: the Dallas-Fort Worth Real Estate Review, Dallas Economic Development Guide, and Dallas Relocation + Newcomer Guide.

Launched in 2006, D CEO is read by business C-suiters in the North Texas region. The publication has been honored by the City and Regional Magazine Association and has consistently been named the best regional business magazine in the country by the AABP (Alliance of Area Business Publishers).
