You don’t have to be a twitcher to love long-table dining on the prairie next to the Trinity River Audubon Center. Yes, the Center is famous for its bird watching facilities, talks, classes, and conservation education, but it has also emerged as a premier events spot. You can’t rent a better backdrop than the Great Trinity Forest provides. If you haven’t taken the time to check this place out, perhaps this announcement will get you there.

Audubon Texas has launched Dining on the Prairie, a new dinner series hosted by Trinity River Audubon Center. The series includes three dinners, coordinated through the Center’s official caterer Bolsa Mercado, with chef-inspired menus, alluring wines, music, and fine dining amidst a spectacular view of the Great Trinity Forest.

Songbird Supper, featuring owner and chef Janice Provost of Parigi, takes place on October 15. Chef Anastacia Quinones of Oddfellows will host the Lovebird’s Dinner on February 10, 2018. On June 15, 2018, chef Peja Krstic of Mot Hai Ba concludes the series with Hops and Hogs. Each chef will design and create seasonal menus inspired by the natural surroundings.

The best news? Tickets are $85 each or $240 for the series. Seating is limited. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.

And don’t forget to take your binoculars. Wild birds are seasonal as well, and chances are good you will spot some beauties.
