There are many reasons to visit downtown McKinney. But Patina Green Home and Market should be at the very top of your list.I was blown away by all aspects of this wonderful place. The look is amazing, the feel is inviting, the products are thoughtfully curated and the food is fantastic.

Patina Green Home and Market is owned and operated by a family trio: Robert Lyford (market chef), his wife, Kaci Lyford (interior designer), and her mother, Luann Van Winckel (retailer). The combination of talent and attention to detail between these three is astounding. The shop itself is filled with local retail items that would make perfect gifts for that person who has everything, or even a cute little extra something that you would want to buy for your own home. Everything in the shop is for sale. You want to buy the table and chairs you are sitting on? Okay. Just let Kaci know and she will help you to your car with it.

The menu is on rotation with a few staples like the hickory smoked ham and cheddar sandwich. Seven different sandwiches are offered daily, as well as a soup du jour, and several cold salad selections. All of their menu items are natural with no artificial flavoring, coloring, additives, or preservatives.

While you are there, take the time to look through their incredible selection of jarred products. Each product, with the exception of those not grown in Texas, are sourced from local farms. They are then prepared in-house and jarred for you to take and enjoy in your own home. The pickles and jams are seasonal while the salsas, pickled red onions, salad dressings, kimchi, sauerkraut, chicken broth, and tomato soup are made fresh weekly and always available.
