Ross Avenue is rapidly changing. New apartments and buildings are springing up almost weekly. Today comes word that Houston-based Little Woodrow’s will open at 3300 Ross Avenue on Saturday, September 17.

It’s anything but little. The “neighborhood bar” has 6,200 square-feet of indoor space and another 1,800 on the patio. The full bar offers 100 species of beer (46 on tap, 25 locals), and scads of high-end whiskey.

Sports fans will find the requisite TV quotient (22) has been met. Wine lovers have six whites, five reds, and two Champagnes to choose from. Food? “Something for everyone” says the press release. Expect burgers, 10 varieties of wings, and the, pictured above, mile-wide nachos. Little Woodrow’s now has 15 locations in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio.
