I’m completely enamored of markets – outdoor, indoor, farmer’s, antique, crafts – it doesn’t really matter the type. There’s a particular romanticism to the whole experience of browsing the booths, meeting the people and hearing the stories behind their wares. Sometimes it’s the passion behind the item, more than the item itself, that spurs the purchase. And we’re thrilled to see the number of weekend markets in Dallas growing.
White Rock Local Market
Head out early on Saturday to stock up on fresh, seasonal produce and artisan foods at the White Rock Local Market. (Nothing inspires epicurean creativity quite like a trip to the local farmer’s market, agree?) While you’re there pop into Greenspot and chow down on some of the best breakfast tacos in town.

The Dallas Flea
Next up on Saturday’s agenda is the spring Flea. The ever-stylish Brittany Edwards Cobb set out to create something akin to the beloved flea markets of her native Los Angeles. And then she stepped it up a notch. The well-curated booths in South Side on Lamar will be brimming with all sorts of Texas-made awesomeness (think furniture, jewelry, treats, etc.). Good luck leaving empty-handed (we won’t).
