I’ll admit I’m a beauty product snob these days as a direct result of this job. I get to play with products that cost more than my car. (Well, close, anyway.) But let’s all agree that there’s something about Bath & Body Works we can’t resist. It’s the probably the combination of the glittering product displays and the newest scents wafting out the door, but whatever it is, it lures us in. Yesterday I was invited to shop the holiday stuff at NorthPark. (Perk of the job, yes.) I forgot how delicious that store can be! I walked out with a couple Slatkin & Co. holiday candles (in the heavenly Fireside and Kitchen Spice scents that give me the warm fuzzies), a snowflake Wallflower plug-in with Cinnamon & Clovebuds oil, and, duh, 4-for-$20 antibacterial hand soaps. (Did you know Bath & Body outsells every other antibac line in this country? Me neither. They told me that yesterday.) If you’re a snob like me, don’t rule them out of the shopping routine this year. I’ve been feeling like a Grinch already, and yesterday’s holiday pick-ups got me right in the holiday spirit. (Well, a little closer, anyway.)
