Last year Tom Ford—who if you didn’t know is one of our own, born in Austin, Texas—launched Private Blend, a collection of unisex scents. The set includes seductive scents like Black Violet, Tobacco Vanille, and Purple Patchouli, among others. You can’t make a scent much more personal than layering notes together yourself like you’re supposed to do with the fragrances of Private Blend. Now you have one more scent to play with. Arabian Wood, which launched last week, includes a combination of cedarwood, sandalwood, ylang ylang, rose, orange blossom, and green galbanum, among other notes. As you can probably tell by the bold combination of ingredients, the Private Blend collection isn’t for the wallflower. Ford says they’re created with “the true fragrance connoisseur” in mind. They’re not for the penniless, either. Each 8.4-oz. bottle sells for $450. But don’t worry. There’s the 1.7-oz. bottle for $180.
