Earlier this month Nancy broke the news that Cyclone Anaya’s on Oak Lawn was closing for good. According to the rep she spoke to, the business was sold to a new owner. So what’s to become of the building?
Late Thursday, it was reported that chef Eddy Thretipthuangsin (who opened Bite City Grill in Fort Worth’s Montgomery Plaza last year) snagged the location, and plans to turn it into Kin Kin Urban Thai. According to a press release, Kin Kin Urban Thai “will be a culinary journey to Chef Eddy’s homeland, as he shares his personal interpretation on traditional Thai cuisine.”
The first outpost of Kin Kin is slated to open in Fort Worth’s West 7th district early next month, expect the Oak Lawn location in March or April, and a third location at Preston Forest this summer.
