White Rock Local Market, Vickery Meadow Improvement District, and Half Price Books are launching a brand new market called Vickery Meadow Local Market. On Sunday, September 21 at the NW corner of Half Price Books flagship store at 5803 E. Northwest Highway, the new market will run from 9 AM to 2 PM every Sunday. This is a welcome addition to Dallas local markets, many of which only run on Saturdays.

Along with healthy produce, there will be arts and crafts vendors and a diverse selection of local goods. Vickery Meadows Local Market is currently seeking vendors for the initial season. To apply go to whiterocklocalmarket.org.

“We are looking forward to the new Vickery Meadow Local Market and our partnership with the Vickery Meadow Improvement District as well as Half Price Books,” says Sarah Perry, Director of White Rock Local Market and affiliates. “Farmer’s markets inherently nurture a community through social interactions while providing small businesses the opportunity to grow – which is in line with the mission of the VMID.”

The Vickery Meadow Improvement District is a partnership of property owners working together to improve the neighborhood. Bordered by Northwest Highway, Skillman, I-75 and Royal, the community has a dense urban residential population, making it a perfect spot for the new market.

White Rock Local Market has been providing goods from artisans, farmers and ranchers from 150 miles around Dallas. It provides support to small farmers and hosts a community garden as well as workshops and field trips for kids and adults.
