Somehow the fact that there is about to be six hundred less Starbucks in the world doesn’t bother me. Starbucks has never been my cuppa tea and I’ve never understood why people bitch about paying $4 for a gallon of gas but drink two or three $4 mucho grande dollar lattes a day. Especially when you can take that $4 and apply it to an order of brisket tacos at the soon-to-open Cowboy Chow: Open Range Dining in, major drum roll please, Deep Ellum. Cowboy Chow is a new concept developed by Jason Boso, owner/chef of Twisted Root Burger Company. There’s also a CC boldly set to open across from Babe’s in Roanoke. Those folks are way happy. Boso also plans to debut another Twisted Root in Richardson’s Eastside.
