From the Foote Festival and the Dallas Theater Center’s success to Theatre Three’s 50th anniversary and the ongoing strong work developed by many small companies, Dallas theater seems to be experiencing fervent times. But with crises in public funding, the relative slowing in new start up companies, and the continual struggle to find and support actors and audiences, challenges remain.
Join us on June 20 for a conversation about the Dallas theater scene. How are we doing? Where do we go from here? The Dallas Arts District’s Veletta Lill will moderate a conversation featuring the Dallas Observer’s Elaine Liner, TheaterJones’ Mark Lowry, FrontRow’s Lance Lusk, KERA’s Jerome Weeks, and Southern Methodist University professor and director, Stan Wojewodski.
The event will take place from 6 – 7:30 p.m. on June 20 at D Magazine’s offices, 750 North St. Paul St, 21st Floor, Dallas, TX 75201. It is free and open to the public, but space is limited. To RSVP, email [email protected] or call 214-540-0144 by June 16.
We hope to see you there.
