It’s not Friday, but it’ll have to do. We’ve got theater about theater at Theatre Three, the Trisha-less Trishas at the Kessler, and artistically justified binge drinking at Wild Detectives.
The hilarious farce Light Up The Sky follows an absurd production gone off the rails, sending up Broadway conventions and illustrating the dangers of good old fashioned hubris. The show runs through April 3 at Theatre Three.
The Austin-based Trishas (given names: Jamie Wilson, Liz Foster, Kelley Mickwee, and Savannah Welch) play acoustic, heartfelt folk songs at the Kessler.
House Party Theatre, one of Dallas’ more unconventional theater troupes, performs for Thirsty Thursday at Wild Detectives. The show includes three short plays and, simultaneously, a drinking game involving both actors and audience.
