It’s official: Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert is this area’s most adept executive when it comes to running a major enterprise. So said C-level execs in a comprehensive new survey of DFW business sentiment by SMU’s Cox School of Business. The mayor (at left) accepted his CEO of the Year honor last night at a packed gathering co-hosted by D Magazine Partners Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Wick Allison and Cox School Dean Albert W. Neimi Jr. at SMU’s James M. Collins Center. Among the movers and shakers in attendance: Kent Eastman of Capital One Bank; Patti Becton of Accenture; attorney Richard Sayles; and business analyst David Johnson. To read more about Leppert–and the full SMU survey–check out the December issue of D CEO magazine.
