A FrontBurnervian was casually reading this AP story about how newspapers in Rita’s path are preparing when up pops the name of Barry Peckham–now ensconced as general manager of the Victoria Advocate. FB’ers may remember Peckham as the executive v. p. for operations at Belo who took the fall for the circulation “overstatements.” How did he get the job? Our FBer speculates:
