The Scoop: New Deep Dish Pizza at Americano, Vinyl Night at Bowl & Barrel, and More

Scardello Artisan Cheese offers new to-go versions of their signature cheese and charcuterie boards: You can now get one of the best charcuterie boards in the city to-go. Scardello is offering their cheese plate, charcuterie board, and cheese and charcuterie boards for $15 to $18. Each comes with an assortment of olives, nuts, dried fruit, and crackers.

Top Knot partners with The Barman’s Fund and Brian McCullough of The Standard Pour for cocktails and Korean fried chicken on Monday, October 3: Brian McCullough and Brian Floyd are joining forces for a cause. Next Monday, they’ll be shaking up four specialty cocktails to benefit Dallas CASA as part of The Barman’s Fund (an organization created by Floyd in 2011 to encourage local bartenders to donate tips to charities). Guests will also have a first taste of chef de cuisine Angela Hernandez’s Korean fried chicken. The dish will be featured on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday evenings moving forward. The event runs from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m.

Americano offers new deep-dish pizza: Executive chef, Matt Ford has added a deep-dish pizza to his menu of Italian-inspired cuisine. According to the release, the pizza is “made with Chef Ford’s pizza dough and features layer upon layer of the best ingredients: pepperoni, provolone, fresh mozzarella, and Americano’s house-made Calabrian chili sausage, topped with Americano’s San Marzano pizza sauce. At two inches thick, cooking of this chef-crafted special takes nearly an hour in the restaurant’s stone pizza oven—guests have the option to call ahead to pre-order by the slice ($10) or whole pies ($80) until they run out (on a first-come first-serve basis).” The pie is only available on Sundays and Mondays.

New to-go lasagnas available at CiboDivino Marketplace: The Italian market in North Oak Cliff is offering a variety of fall-inspired pastas. Chef and owner, Daniele Puleo’s new offerings include traditional lasagna made with 44 Farms beef, butternut squash, and vegetarian. The lasagnas cost $15.

Bowl & Barrel spins out vinyl nights: The popular boutique bowling alley and restaurant is rolling out “Vinyl Nights” on Sundays. Festivities include half-price beer, half-price bowling, and vinyl tunes spun by DJ Wanz Dover. The party runs from 8 p.m. until midnight.
