Holiday parties come at you pretty fast, and sometimes, you only have a very short window of time to shop for a nice outfit to place on your body immediately. You’re moving too fast to make any sort of big investment, but you still want to be chic and au courant.

Here, we’ve gathered some guaranteed, brick-and-mortar hits, so you can be in, out, and on your merry way.

Reformation

The popular sustainable brand’s brick-and-mortar locations have earned a dangerous reputation: you can’t go inside without buying at least one thing. That risky rep works in your favor here though—you definitely won’t leave their Henderson Avenue outpost empty-holiday-outfit-handed.

Esther Penn

Housed in the airy, white building across the street from Reformation, Esther Penn churns out hit after hit in the I-need-something-cute-to-wear-right-now department. The best part: everything is super affordable.

L. Bartlett

L. Bartlett has outfitted many a Dallasite’s beach vacation, but the boutique (which recently moved from West Village to Snider Plaza) houses an excellent selection of cute tops and cocktail dresses by Parker, Cami NYC, and Amanda Uprichard.

Favor the Kind

The Henderson Avenue lifestyle boutique is a surprising source from almost every clothing category (there’s lingerie, bathing suits, and Stetson hats), but one thing Favor the Kind has in spades: flowy, sparkly dresses. You’ll look casual and cool, but also festive — an enviable feat.

ZARA

The old standby. We suggest browsing Zara outfits on the Dallas-based LikeToKnow. It app (there are a ton on there) first to help you zero in on which pieces you want to seek out in the sprawling NorthPark store.

Modern Citizen

The whole point of West Village’s new store (an innovative San Francisco transplant) is to help women transition their work wardrobe into a going-out outfit. The brand’s simple, satin dresses can be easily dressed up for a last-minute party (and are miraculously machine-washable).

For a Splurge

You can always find unique designs (and designers) at Forty Five Ten, Neiman Marcus’ Cusp, Elements, Nicole Kwon, and Canary. During the month of December, you’ll also be able to stop by La Vie Style House’s pop-up in Highland Park Village (on the floor above the Starbucks). The Dallas founders and friends’ playful, vintage-inspired designs have earned them a slew of celebrity fans, including a neon green caftan-loving Chrissy Teigen.
