I don’t know much about about college sports. But one of the few things I’ve absorbed is that March Madness is a big deal. Okay, so I had to double check to confirm that it’s college (not professional) basketball — but at least I knew it was basketball!
For all of you non-college sports fans, the Dallas Museum of Art is bringing a little culture to March Madness by facing off 16 random art pieces from their collection through voting. Some of the featured pieces include Cathedral by Jackson Pollock, Semiramis by William Wetmore Story, and HI-C Avenger by John Hernandez.
The first round of voting ends this Friday, and if you’re really passionate about your favorite piece of art winning, you can vote once a day.
Bonus: There will be tons of fun activities going on during Spring Break week at the DMA, which is March 11 to 16. The NCAA Championship Trophy will be on display in the Center of Creative Connections during this time… if you are into that kind of thing.
