Methodist Celina Names First President and BenefitMall Consolidates Leadership in President Role

Plus Texas Health wins sustainability award and Oceans Healthcare names new CFO.

Cody Hunter will be the inaugural president of Methodist Health System’s newest hospital in Celina. Set to open in 2025, Hunter has already begun his work to connect with the Celina hospital and keep the $237 million hospital on schedule. Hunter joined Methodist Health System in 2021 as vice president of operations at Methodist Richardson Medical Center, where he oversaw $80 million in capital projects and is leading the development of an ambulatory surgery center in Richardson. Hunter previously spent 11 years in leadership roles with the Houston Methodist system.


Employee benefits general agency BenefitMall has named a Bob Love as president. The role consolidates the company’s leadership functions following former CEO Scott Kirsey’s retirement last year. Benefit Mall is now part of wholesale and specialty insurance firm CRC Group. Love has been with BenefitMall since 2018 and has more than 30 years of industry experience leading sales and operations teams at MetLife, Guardian, and Prudential.


For the fifth consecutive year, Texas Health Resources has been honored by Texan by Nature as a TxN 20 honoree for its sustainability efforts. It is the only health system recognized. Texas by Nature is a nonprofit founded by former First Lady Laura Bush to recognize conservation work from businesses in Texas. The honor recognizes buildings, workflow, and community outreach. The system’s new buildings meet green building guidelines, including Fort Worth’s nine-story Jane and John Justin Surgical Tower, which was completed in 2022.


Behavioral health organization Oceans Healthcare has named Eric Elliott as its chief financial officer. He has overseen more than 100 acquisitions and has experience with joint venture financial management and scaling in his two decades of healthcare finance roles. He began his career as an accountant and most recently served as vice president of finance at home health company Elara Caring, Inc. He spent nearly two decades at in home health provider LHC Group, where he served as vice president of finance.
