Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 3,549 new COVID19 cases and 14 deaths on Tuesday, setting a new record for new cases. “We’re in our toughest time for COVID spread. Activities that seemed safe to you weeks ago are much less safe now,” he tweeted.

Texas has 28 COVID-19 vaccination hubs statewide, including many in North Texas. The Dallas Morning News has more on where they are and how you might access them.

Even though Dallas County was only scheduling vaccines for those 75 and older, some residents were able to share the signup link on the neighborhood social network app NextDoor, resulting in double bookings and younger patients. Judge Clay Jenkins says the problem has been resolved. Learn more with WFAA.
