Medical City Plano is the Region’s only National Pancreas Foundation Center

|

Because of the quality of their pancreatic cancer care, Medical City Plano is North Texas’ only National Pancreas Foundation Center.

Centers are designated because of their multidisciplinary treatment of  pancreatic cancer, including specialists such as oncologists, gastroenterologists, pancreas surgeons and interventional radiologists. Patient services such as pain management, psychosocial support and others are also necessary to treat the whole patient.

“It is our honor to provide the highest quality, compassionate care for cancer patients who turn to us for help,” said Carlton Ulmer, Medical City Plano CEO via release. “As the first NPF Centers in North Texas and one of the only two in the state of Texas, this further distinguishes Medical City Plano as the destination of choice for healthcare excellence for pancreatic cancer patients.”
