Children’s Health Names New Chief Nursing Officer

Children’s Health has named Tammy Webb as its new executive vice president and chief nursing officer, where she will lead the system’s nursing practice. She will guide nursing strategy, culture, and operational excellence for patient care at the nation’s eighth largest pediatric health provider.

“Tammy embodies the clinical nursing, strategic planning and hospital administration expertise necessary to successfully fulfill this multifaceted position, bringing nearly three decades of experience ranging from bedside nursing to nursing leadership,” said David Berry, system clinical and scientific operations president at Children’s Health via release. “With a demonstrated history of strategic leadership and collaboration, we are thrilled to have her join the team and support our mission to make life better for children.”

Webb arrives from Arkansas Children’s Hospital, where she was most recently president of Patient Care Services. In her 27 years at the hospital, she worked her way from a registered nurse to direct the Heart Center, and was also Clinical Operations for Ambulatory Care Services and then Director of Professional Practice and Nursing Professional Development at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Webb is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, former President of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society Gamma Zi Chapter and was on the executive leadership team for the American Heart Association.
