The National Association of Epilepsy Centers has given a Level 3 designation to the Epilepsy Center at Children’s Medical Center Plano.

Level 3 is the second-highest designation, and recognizes that the facility provides advanced evaluation and treatment resources for pediatric epilepsy, a 5-bed epilepsy monitoring unit, around-the-clock electroencephalogram monitoring, and an onsite neuropsychologist.

“I’m excited that the Epilepsy Center is able to offer advanced epilepsy care to more kids, and I’m proud to lead a team that offers the excellent care and expertise needed to achieve this designation,” said Dr. Daniel Gossett, medical director of the Epilepsy Center at Children’s Medical Center Plano via release. “One of the biggest benefits of the Level 3 accreditation is that the Epilepsy Center can offer advanced epilepsy care right here in Plano.”
