Dallas-based Teladoc has appointed Mark Hirschhorn as its new executive vice president and CFO. He brings more than 20 years of experience to the role. Most recently, he served as CFO of RCS and Media Monitors, an international software firm that caters to the media and entertainment clients.
Jason Gorevic, Teladoc’s CEO, said in a statement that Hirschoorn will play a key role in executing the company’s strategy in the coming year. “Having worked with numerous entrepreneurial ventures in a variety of different market segments, his knowledge will help to ensure we continue to expand our business aggressively and intelligently as the leading telehealth provider,” Gorevic said.
Founded in 2002, Teladoc has more than 4 million members across the country. It works with payers, corporations, organizations, and patients.
The company said Hirschhorn has worked with both large corporations and startups through periods of rapid growth and transformation. This includes post as CFO of BT Radianz, a global financial extranet focused on the financial services industry, where he led the restructuring and rebuilding of the company’s finance department and directed all aspects of the company’s 20 domestic and foreign subsidiaries. He also held posts at RSL Communications, Deltathree Communications and Deloitte LLP.
