Beyond Studios Has Officially Reopened in Dallas

After sudden closures earlier this spring, the revamped studios are back to hosting classes.

When Beyond Studios suddenly shuttered its Forest, Henderson and Lovers locations in early April, instructors were abruptly out of a job, and loyal students were left without their favorite studio. And while we were hopeful that founder Brandi Marino would be able to find a new franchise owner and reopen the locations soon, a timeline was unclear. But in just under a month, one filled with swift renovations, the fitness concept has reopened its Henderson (where Beyond 500 HIIT classes take place) and Lovers (where Pilates is taught) locations today. (The re-opening of the Forest location is still unknown.) As for the new ownership, franchisees are still being finalized — Marino elected to make the renovations and promptly eopen the studios herself to limit interruptions for clients.

Longtime Beyond student, Michele Gough, had been working out at the studio consistently for four years, and its absence left a void in her fitness routine. During the interim, she used her Peloton bike at home and hopped around to different spin classes in town, but she missed her Beyond community.

“If they have a class at 5:30 am on May 1, I’ll be waiting when they unlock the door,” Gough said before the .

Presumably, Gough was in attendance this morning, and if the impressive turnout at BEYOND’s temporary pop-up classes, taught by instructors such as Kristin Moses, Kristin Krenzer, and Becca Conner, is any indication of client loyalty, the Pilates beds or treadmills beside her were completely filled.

“Each instructor had the opportunity to host classes for donation since the studio closed,” Krenzer says. “During this time, our clients went above and beyond to show their love, support, and loyalty to us as instructors, as well as to the Beyond brand.”

In addition to the pop-up classes, facelifts were given to the Lovers and Henderson locations during the brief respite. Still true to the original Beyond vibe, both studios received fresh coats of paint, reconfigured lobbies, renovated bathrooms, and an updated app. The Lovers location is also sporting a slick new floor.

“Our clients have been so supportive and have really shared the love through this transition,” Marino says.

To celebrate the grand re-opening, the Beyond crew is hosting a Piñatas and Pilates event on Saturday, May 5. (How serendipitous that National Pilates Day also falls on Cinco de Mayo.) Piñata-busting and skinny margs are optional of course — just be sure you sign up on the website or app, The Beyond Studios, to reserve your spot and class of choice.

“The reopening represents a new beginning for us all and we are so excited to show off our fresh new look,” Krenzer says. “Clients will feel re-energized and ready to go even further Beyond. We can’t wait for everyone to see all of the amazing work that has been done.”
