After Thursday’s High of 94, Relief. Out of the inferno–the first 90-plus temperature ever recorded in Dallas in November–and into a less hellish environment, with a high of 79 today and mid-80s through the weekend.

Landlords Disregard New City Regulations for Low-Rent Properties. The city says the properties aren’t up to code. The landlords say that complying with the rules approved last year would be too costly to keep the properties affordable for low-income renters.

Early Voting Ends Today. Find an early voting location here. The folks at the downtown library seemed awfully bored Wednesday. Election Day is Tuesday.

Hit-and-Run Leaves Mother of Six Dead. She was walking home from a wedding near Garland. Police are searching for the suspected driver.

Dallas 17, Kansas City 24. The Cowboys are without Ezekiel Elliott, serving the start of a six-game suspension. Tony Romo calls the action. Kickoff is at 3:25 p.m Sunday at Jerry World, so expect to see lots of players squinting into the sun.
