Drugs Had Been Sold at House Where 13-year-old Girl Was Kidnapped. In the case of 13-year-old Shavon Randle’s kidnapping and death, it was discovered that drugs had been bought in the past from the house where she was kidnapped. A search warrant affidavit mentions a person who told police that he purchased marijuana from the Lancaster home. Shavon had been staying at the house for two years. The kidnapping was done in retaliation for a June 26 drug robbery. Six people have been arrested, but none have yet been charged with Shavon’s death.
New Lawsuits for Ex-Officer Who Slammed Girl at McKinney Pool Party. The incident happened two years ago, but now there are more lawsuits against the city of McKinney and Eric Casebolt. Six other teens filed two federal lawsuits against them and said Casebolt used excessive force and intentionally inflicted emotional distress. Video taken at the party shows the ex-officer hitting another girl in the face and grabbing another boy by the head and forcing him to the ground. The new lawsuits don’t specify what the teens are seeking in damages.
