Okay, probably an overstatement, but two items of note:
1) Early yesterday morning, a man and woman carjacked a Good Samaritan in Fort Worth after he stopped to help them (or so he thought). Two big don’ts in that story: DON’T stop to help someone at 2:45 a.m. At the very least, don’t get out of the car. And if you do, DON’T leave the keys in the ignition. Just makes it too easy.
2) A woman was shot in the jaw while visiting a park in Corinth with her baby daughter and 4-year-old son. Police think William Gilmore shot her and that the attack was unprovoked. And also: William Gilmore will haunt your dreams. They didn’t say that, but the mug shot certainly implies it.
Lesson: Stay in Dallas, where it’s safe.
