Now Betty Culbreath can use the DHA as a platform to run for city council without any interference from the professional staff. The audits were being addressed with a new computer system. Lott’s problem was that she stood up to powerful business interests that wanted control of DHA land along the Trinity River. They tried to sell Little Mexico out from under the residents who had lived there for years. Lott told them that was illegal and they had Guy Brignon try to get rid of her. When her handpicked errand boy left under a cloud Laura Miller’s took her revenge by appointing the controvserial and incompetent Culbreath. Without Lott Culbreath is free to use the agency to bolster her political standing and try to make a name for herself politically. If Tom Leppert doesn’t get a hold of this issue soon it will become the biggest embarrasementof his administration.

This is an unfortunate loss for Dallas. Ms. Lott is a classy, professional administrator who set a positive example in the City, but was undercut and subverted by Mayoral syphocants and business interests who did not appreciate her good works. Dallas’ loss will be another city’s gain.

  3. Truth Teller, I have a name and there is nothing DHA could add other then being sited for mismanagement by the OIG. Ask yourself what could DHA professional do for me? I ran for City Council last time and was on the Board. You people are so blinded
with by hate for me that you make statements that make no sense at all.I do not care if I never serve on another FREE Board. I have 42 years of Service to my Community for free. Pray and ask God to put some love in your Heart.
