Last night I proposed. I had something quite elaborate planned out, involving our favorite restaurant, Etta James’ “At Last,” and a dessert platter, but instead I couldn’t wait and proposed in our kitchen. I’m glad I didn’t do it in a restaurant because Sonya collapsed on the floor and started giggling and crying. Then she said “yes.”
