Soccer has arrived. About four million more people watched the World Cup than the NBA Finals here in the States. That’s a ratings increase of 152 percent from the 2002 Cup. And the main difference between this tournament and the NBA Finals, and surely the main reason more people tuned in, is that no one complained about the officiating. Oh wait.
