The area has been officially anointed as the “Asian Trade District”. I know; I drive past the you-cannot-miss concrete signs at opposite corners of Royal and Harry Hines everyday. Somebody (Sam Moon?) spent big bucks buying the land, building these signs, landscaping and lighting included, too. My curiosity is that I never heard of any public announcement and I also wonder about the juxtaposition of the yang-yang symbols (like the South Korean flag) and the word “Asian.” Thought that was exclusively Korean.
