HURRICANE RELIEF, TAKE 542

On Thursday, September 8, Dallas Arts United for Hurricane Relief–the partnership of Arts District Friends, Crow Collection of Asian Art, Dallas Center for the Performing Arts Foundation, Dallas Opera, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Theater Center, Meyerson Symphony Center, and the Nasher Sculpture Center–is sponsoring an all-day fundraising drive at the Meyerson Symphony Center to collect money and toiletries for Katrina victims. Donors can pull up in front of the Meyerson and staff members from participating organizations will come to the car to collect goods and monetary donations. Specific items requested by The Salvation Army include:

· Industrial-size non-perishable food
· Bottled water
· New underwear and socks
· Diapers
· Baby wipes
· Baby formula
· Work gloves
· Plastic gloves
· Hand sanitizer
· Personal toiletries: toothpaste, deodorant, soap, etc.
· Insect repellant
· Flashlights
