McKinney Avenue Tavern is closed: The Uptown bar closed over the weekend. According to their Facebook page:

Pinstack Plano to throw three-year anniversary bash: The entertainment and dining destination is turning three and celebrating on March 1. According to the release:

“Taking place in Pinstack’s VIP suite, guests will sample the newest craft beer and cider releases from Lakewood Brewing Co., Rahr & Sons Brewing Co. and Austin Eastciders, while enjoying dish pairings created exclusively for the event. Brewery and culinary experts will be present to mix and mingle with guests, as well as discuss the beer offerings and menu selections. Attendees will also have exclusive access to the VIP bowling lanes, as well as the chance to win giveaways from each brewery and Pinstack. Brew & Bite tickets are available for only $19.99 and can be purchased online here.

Crooked Tree Coffeehouse is undergoing updates: The coffee shop is getting a facelift.

According to the release:

“Crooked Tree is currently undergoing some snazzy new updates and our main bar is closed. But have no fear! We are doing a slow bar for your caffeinated convenience in the back room. Come on in our back door any day between 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. for pour-over coffee, tea, cold brew, tacos and a few other limited items! We are hoping this will only be a few weeks but we will notify you when we are back up and fully operational… with a few additions, ahem… nitro cold brew…”
