Are you ready for another modern American bar and kitchen? If so, then you will be thrilled to learn Laurel Tavern from Southern California will make its Dallas debut this fall. The restaurant has taken over the real estate that housed chef Randall Warder’s Clark Food & Wine, which closed last December.

A press release states the menu “will focus on quality food, handcrafted cocktails and superior customer service.” The menu features a selection of small plates, salads, sandwiches, and burgers, which are ground fresh in-house daily. The Laurel Burger with homemade honey mustard, avocado, pickled red onion, and shredded lettuce is pictured above.

There are currently two Southern California locations of Laurel Tavern: Hermosa Beach and Studio City. Beverages will include spirits, craft beers, wines by the glass and signature cocktails like a Spicy Pineapple Margarita made with tequila, mezcal, lime, and agave.

I checked out the restaurant’s Facebook page and found a reader review that gives some insight into what we can expect.

Good food, good normal drinks nice people, awesome looking girls so what more can you ask for? Great staff? Got that as well! Five stars.

And big pretzels, one of the hottest trends in Dallas bar food.
