Your guide to weekly dining events in Dallas.

Wednesday

This can be a stressful time of year with taxes due. It’s time to put down those W-2s and unwind on the patio at Clay Pigeon Food and Drink with a Caledonia Spirits specialty cocktail. The Tax Day Happy Hour runs from 5 until 8 p.m. with proceeds benefiting Tarrant Area Food Bank. There will also be an all-you-can-eat traditional crawfish boil on the restaurant’s outdoor garden patio. Call 817-882-8065 for more information.

Thursday

The Deep Ellum Brewing Co. beer dinner is now sold out but you can still enjoy festive sips at the Deep Ellum Wine Walk. Tickets are available for $10, they include wine samplings, shopping and sightseeing.

The Children’s Hope Dinner takes place at the Hilton Anatole tonight at 7 p.m. The event features Jimmy Wayne, country music artist, and New York Times best-selling author and advocate. Wayne will perform and share his experiences traveling with Orphan Outreach to Guatemala. Tickets are available online for $200.

Friday

The 4th Annual Deep Ellum Big Folkin’ Festival at the Prophet Bar will have 40 bands on 4 stages within 48 hours. See lineup here. No event would be complete without bites from vendors and food trucks. Tickets start at $20.

Texas Spice at Omni Hotel is collaborating with Community Beer Company for a brewery dinner at 6:30 p.m. The night features savory dishes paired with brews. Menu highlights include pan seared diver scallop, a mixed green bundle with smoked squab, sous vide 44 Farms strip loin, and La egion Russian Imperial Stout caramel chocolate tart. Tickets are available for $45. Call 214-979-4529 for reservations.

Saturday

Dogs are welcome at The Gin Mill for Yappy Hour from 3 to 5 p.m. This canine event benefits Greyhound Adoption League of Texas (GALT). Expect happy hour prices, $1 off cocktails, wine by the glass, beer, $5 Greyhounds, and a barking good time.

Brewfest on Crockett is back again with a lineup of bands, and craft beer selections from around the globe, including Einstok Icelandic White Ale (but we know the best are actually from north Texas). Panther Island Brewery will demonstrate different beer infusion concoctions with Real Good American Cream Ale. You only pay for what you drink. The free event runs from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Frisco StrEATS Food Truck and Music Festival is going on from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. in downtown Frisco. This year’s food truck list features 19 vendors: Bobaddiction, Coolhaus, Easy Slider, Gandolfos, Guava Tree, Jack’s Chowhound, JoDawgs, Nammi, Pompeii, Vegan Noms, Ruthies Grilled Cheese, Ssahm BBQ, The Butcher’s Son, Bellatrino, Spoons, JD Kettle Korn, Jamacian Jack’s Snowcones, Cup Cakin, and Cajun Tailgators.

The Rustic is hosting the sixth annual Boil for the Brave. This is a community crawfish boil benefiting Veteran Housing Rehabilitation program. The event runs from 11:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Admission is free for military veterans. Tickets are available online for $30 and donations are encouraged.

If you’re close to Lewisville, then head over to Aw Shucks for an all-you-can-eat crawfish boil benefiting Operation Kindness. That means endless boiled shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes, and tons of crawfish for only $25. See how many mudbugs you can squeeze at the crawfish eating contest. The event runs from noon until 5 p.m. Call 972-436-2520 for more information.

Sunday

The Salute to King Creole Crawfish Festival returns to Chicken Scratch and The Foundry from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Chef Tim Byres will prepare all-you-can-eat creole tastings from a gumbo station, oyster bar, andouille sausage station to Cajun Crawfish Company crawfish station. Wash it all down with cold brews from Jim Beam Kentucky Fire and Deep Ellum Brewing Company. Dr. Zog will play Zydeco music. Tickets are available online for $20.
