New York brewery, Ommegang, is throwing one heck of a party during North Texas Beer Week. On Monday, November 3, HopChef Dallas — a food and beer pairing competition — takes over 3015 at Trinity Groves. The event features some of Dallas’ best known beer-forward chefs:

— Oliver Sitrin, Blind Butcher
— Rodman Shields, Common Table
— Ashley Yancey, Libertine
— David McMillan, Meddlesome Moth
— Rick Stewart, FM Smokehouse
— Stan Rodrigues, Whiskey Cake

Each chef will whip up a dish, and pair it with an Ommegang beer. Attendees can then vote for their favorite pairing. “Dallas HopChef is a unique culinary event with some of the best beer and food focused chefs. We are excited to bring this event to Dallas for the first time and see a showdown of pairing food with Belgian style ales,” Prescott Carter, the regional manager for Brewery Ommegang, said. The event runs from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m., tickets cost $60 and can be purchased here.
