Don’t let the name fool you: George Lewis Jr. definitely isn’t sporting a twin in his band. In fact, the Dominican-born, Florida-raised musician creates his special brand of New Wave(ish) synthpop completely alone, and has crafted his own distinctive sound that has carried him through two critically acclaimed albums. Blazing his way with his 2010 effort, Forget, Lewis has continued to artfully pull from a myriad of influences that include 90s R&B, 80s pop and classic rock in order to enchant, move and groove with the best of them. 2012’s Confess confirmed that no matter what he’s tapping into, Lewis is always interested in building new and creative sounds, never replication. It’s that sort of drive that has gained him an impressive fan base along with plenty of accolades, including a Rolling Stone ” Band of the Week” feature.

Your chance to catch him on his True Story Tour is only an answer away. We have a pair of tickets to see him, and his energetic dancehall pop-fused opener Elliphant, on Monday, June 24th at 8:00pm at the Granada Theater. All you have to do is tell us the name of Twin Shadow’s novel. Don’t hesitate to enter; we’re picking our winners by 3pm. Good luck!
