After he heard that Louisiana animal shelters were overflowing, the Pickens sprang into action. Good for him (and for his wife). I’ve got a question, though. He spent $50,000 to resuce 100 animals. Pickens, I’m sure, has helped some two-legged animals, too. And I can’t fault the guy for having a big heart. But $50k for 100 critters? They were flown to San Diego and the Bay Area. Were the animal shelters in those two areas empty? IJS.
